Caption on back of postcard reads: "One of the most picturesque spots in this locality is Harper's Ferry, often termed the "Switzerland of America". Steep wooded mountains surround the town, and the waters of the Potomac and the Shenandoah Rivers divide Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia at this point.
