The church was constructed in 1858, called Westfall Chapel, and dedicated in 1859.  In 1908 the church dedicated and named The Maidsville Methodist Protestant Church.  It is now known as just the Maidsville Methodist Church.  The church is still in the original building.

The church was organized in 1819 and a building was completed in 1822.  The Episcopalians and the Presbyterians shared the church in 1861 until a disagreement suspended the Episcopalian use of it until 1874.  The present church moved to it's current location in 1900 and in 1952 a new church building was finished.

The church was organized as a non-denominational church in 1858 and it was located on what is now known as the Mile Ground.  Any preacher could use the church, but the regular ministers were from the Methodist Episcopal Church.  The church was also used as a school until 1868.

The church was built in approximately 1850 with a bell tower.  When a new church was built, the bell was given to the Riverside School.  The current church was built in 1906.

The church was first established as Mt. Peniel Church in 1831 before changing its name to Johnson's Meeting House and then again to Johnson's Crossroads. The church was torn down sometime in the late 1930's or early 1940's.

The church was organized in 1835 on Stewart's Run in William Stewart's home.  The location of church services changed to Sugar Grove in the 1840's when more church members lived their than in Stewart's Run. The first church was built in 1850. The current church building was built in 1887.
