'This is a photo of Old Bethel Church at Fort Seybert.  Built around 1821.  Was first Methodist Church in Pendleton County. It is approximately two miles north of the site of Fort Seybert.  Ferdinand Lair was the first preacher to preach in this church.  He also preached his first Methodist sermon in Pendleton County. He was my great, great grandfather.  (Neva Miller Conrad)'
