Some 23 miles of construction currently is under way on the corridor in Monongalia and Preston counties at a cost of $50 million. The construction extends from near the western boundary of the forest all the way to the Maryland State Line, and also includes a three-mile segment which connects with Interstate 79 at Morgantown. Corridor "E" will be a four-lane highway from I-79 to the Maryland line for a total length of 31 miles."
