The Harry Miller Excavating Company of Suffield, Ohio, is contractor for the work. Some 23 miles of construction currently is under way on the corridor in Monongalia and Preston counties at a cost of $50 million. The construction extends from near the western boundary of the forest all the way to the Maryland State Line, and also includes a three-mile segment which connects with Interstate 79 at Morgantown. Corridor "E" will be a four-lane highway from I-79 to the Maryland line for a total length of 31 miles."
