The girl in photo, "Jane', lounges in her parents bedroom, holding the novel, "Gone With the Wind". The book was authored by Margaret Mitchell and published in 1936. The movie was released in December, 1939. Immensely popular, the film won the Academy Award for Best Picture of the Year about the same time Jane was reading the novel.
