Photo description reads, "Peggy Ann and Peter Hoover, grandchildren of President and Mrs. Hoover, helping the packing of packages containing toys and other Christmas gifts for delivery to the poor little boys and girls of soft coal miners about Morgantown, W. Va., on the lawn of the white house on December 23. The children's mother, Mrs. Herbert Hoover, Jr., and the President's wife are looking on. The gifts were brought to the Christmas party of the children in the white house by the young sons and daughters of Washington's Officialdom."
