Two presidents and their host meet to discuss the joint meeting of the Philosophy Section of the Ohio College Association and the West Virginia Philosophy Society held on the Ohio University campus during the weekend. They are, left to right, Virgil Hinshaw Jr., of Ohio State University, president of the Ohio group; Dr, Troy Organ of OU`s philosophy department, and William S. Minor of West Virginia University, president of the West Virginia society. Nearly 100 faculty and students from 20 colleges and universities attended the reading of papers and discussions during the two-day meet.

'CONGRATULATIONS, SCHOLAR--Dr. Vincent J. Traynelis, professor and chairman of the West Virginia University department of chemistry, presents a chemistry reference book to Woodrow P. Corley, electrical engineering sophomore from Clarksburg, for being the most outstanding student in last year's freshman chemistry classes. The award is given annually to the student who scores highest on the department's Chemistry 15 final examination. Out of more than 1,000 students in last year's class, Corley scored highest with a 100 percent grade. He was presented the award in front of members of this year's class.'
'Joseph Moss, Teacher in Art, was the artist(or builder) who painted 'W. Va. Moon' Which won the W. Va. Centennial Prize for best painting by a W. Va. artist.'
