November 17, 1941 at conclusion of defense day celebration. Pictured left to right at the speaker's table are: Lt. Col. W. R. Orton, commandent of the cadet corps, West Virginia University; Major General Harris; Robert G. Wilbourn, President, Morgantown Chamber of Congress and toastmaster at the dinner and Judge Herschel H. Rose of the West Virginia Supreme Court, one of the principal speakers.'
