Information included with the photograph:"In August of 1950 Isaac Newton Ballard says: 45th Virginia Regiment camped at Muddy Water Cave and Devil Anse Hatfield was a lieutenant in the Regiment. He was baptized into the Primitive Baptist Church before he died."
