'Louis Barker of Dunbar, Kanawha County, left, senior in the School of Pharmacy at West Virginia University, is shown being presented the Kappa Psi scholastic achievement award by Chester Friedl, president of the local chapter. The award is $25 in textbooks presented by the local chapter, Beta Eta, to the student who makes the highest grades during his junior year. Barker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Barker. Friedl is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Friedl, Athens, Mercer County.'
