Six unidentified men wearing quarantine masks due to a death from spinal meningitis. The quarantine lasted 30 days for all personnel at the Civilians Conservation Corps (CCC) camp. No funds were appropriated for the construction of Bluestone Dam, so the C.C.C.  Co. 524 was cancelled and all men were transferred to other C.C.C. camps in West Virginia
