- Group of salt wells with a railroad in the background. From wood cut made before 1900. This date is indicated by the fact that the picture clearly shows the salt wells being pumped by the sucker rod system, which was discontinued about 1898 for compressed air. The railroad tracks shown in foreground were not built until about 1890.
