From the Plaque Inscription: 'Robert Allen Armstrong 1860-1936 To whose memory this building Armstrong Hall is dedicated. Professor of English 1893-1936. Gladly wolde he lerne and gladly teche. This tablet was placed here by his students and friends to honor the name of a beloved teacher, 1963. Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.....'
