Reed, chairman of the ASJSA Committee on Awards and director of the School of Journalism, West Virginia University; Arthur Hays Sulzberger, president of the New York Times. Mr. Sulzberger is receiving the 1952 ASJSA Award because the Times was voted as the best interpreter of the American way of life to the people of the United States and the rest of the world. The presentation took place August 26, 1952, at Columbia University.'
