Summers County Centennial Queen Rebecca Sue Roach sits in a white parade car, driven by Kyle Abshire. This parade likely took place in late August, 1962. According to the donor, each county selected a centennial queen in 1962 to send to Charleston to compete for the state title. Ms. Roach did not appear in the Hinton Centennial Parade in 1963 (see image 049093) because she was not informed of the event.
