The photo of the church was printed on the front page of the morning worship service pamphlet, where on the back serves as an itinerary and hymnal guide.The church was established prior to August of 1855. By the 1960's, it held the largest congregation in all of Berkeley Springs.

The church was first organized on Mozart Road in the early 1850s. The church was built on Old Fairmont Pike between 1855 and 1857. The current building was built in 1959.

The church is located on Little Indian Creek. There have been three buildings for the church. The first church was built in 1800. The current church building was built and dedicated in 1901 and it was named for the Lynch family.

The church is located in or near Arnettsville. The church was first built as a log meeting house and a Methodist Episcopal preacher ministered at the second church built in 1846. The M.E. South Church was organized at Sniders Temple in 1867. After the Civil War the Snider family gave land to the Northern Methodists for the church in Arnettsville. In 1902 the new church was dedicated.

A group of girls sits on the steps of Burns Chapel. The church was meeting in a school house in 1850. Plans for a church began in 1906 and building began that summer. The church was dedicated in 1908.

New Bethel Methodist Church was organized between 1784 and 1786. The church burned in 1942. The church then met in the community hall until August 1948. Money was raised and the present stone church was dedicated in 1948.

The church was established in 1849 in the industrial part of town once known as Ritchietown. There were no paved streets or walks and kerosene lamps were used for lighting. The church was 14 years old when West Virginia became a state.

The church was organized in 1856. In 1885 the Ohio River Railroad was built in front of the church causing so much noise that the congregation had the building moved by the railroad company to its present location.

Rev. Asa Harman (b. 1834-d. 1902) was the first elected pastor of Harman Church of the Brethren in 1859. The town of Harman is also named after him. The Harman Church separated from a larger territory of congregations in 1897 and the church was named after the reverend. In 1921, the grandson of Asa Harman, Rev. Ellsworth Harman, was elected pastor of the church.

The chapel was built in what was then Williamsport, Virginia, twenty years before West Virginia became a state. The building served as a Methodist Protestant church until the Union of Methodist Churches in 1939. In 1947, the church and its grounds were sold to the Industrial School and was designated the school's institutional chapel.

This church known as the "Mother Church of Mother's Day" and is where the Mother's Day holiday began when Mrs. Ann Reeves Jarvis began an effort to reunite family ties that had been broken during the Civil War. The day of reunification, first called "Mother's Friendship Day", was an organized event in which mother's of the community were brought together. Union and Confederate soldiers and their family members also participated, shaking each other's hands and rekindling friendship.Today, the holiday has grown to be internationally celebrated and recognized. This church currently holds an International Mother's Day shrine.

Henry Bennet was a preacher born in Maryland October 21, 1807. He settled in parts of West Virginia and Pennsylvania preaching. While living in Burton he preached at the Liming Ridge Church of Christ in Monongalia County. He died in Fairmont in 1902.
Pleasant Creek Methodist Church was organized in 1800 when Mr. land was donated land for the building. The church was later rebuilt several times until the current structure was completed in 1903
