Description:
The first day for new teacher Lida Seaman in this one room school was November 11, 1918, Armistice Day, ending World War I. The children begged her to dismiss school in order for the children to attend the celebration parade in Morgantown. Miss Seaman held her ground, commenting, "...that afternoon, discipline was lacking".

Mr. Tennant was hired to teach at King's Run after being discharged from the Navy in 1918. He not only taught the children but continued his own education at the same time, earning his high school diploma.
