Information included: The photograph was taken near the mouth of Whites Run on the west bank looking down the river (southeast). The village of Rockley, on the west bank, right-center, was built at the mouth of Maple Run and supported a cooperage factory, manufacturing containers, especially nail kegs.  Filled with iron products from the Cheat Iron Works, the containers were transported on the river to markets.
