'This unique structure was built in the summer of 1924, after the diastrous fire, April 17,1924. It contains lumber and stone from each of the six districts of Pendleton County, with stone brought from every historic and scenic point in the county, including its highest points, which are the highest in West Virginia, comprising a complete geologic column, from the earliest to the lastest formation, and set undressed in crazy design. Inside it has all modern improvements of heat, light, and plumbing, including steam heat in addition to open fire-place.'
