Va., after the C&O had laid its rails as far as Lester. The settler was James Thomas McCreery, brother John Wallace McCreery and his five beautiful daughters: Maude, Birdie, Joe, Daisy and Anna" (p. 372). On back of photograph: "J.T. McCreery my father, Birdie McCreery Baylor."
